Realme has shipped 10 million smartphones in Q3 2019 alone, according to new Counterpoint research. With over 800 percent annual growth, Realme has become the fastest-growing smartphone brand in the past quarter. In a little over a year and about a dozen smartphones later, Realme has become one of the biggest brands in India and now ranks 7th in the global smartphone market.
Realme managed to ship 10 million smartphones in just Q3 2019, which is impressive considering the previous 10 million shipments came in 14 months. This past quarter has been fruitful for Realme as the company capitalized on the festive season sales along with back-to-back launches.
Realme recently announced that the Realme C2, Realme 3i and Realme 5 were the best-selling phones in Q3 2019 in India. According to a previous report by Counterpoint Research, Realme had its highest shipment ever in Q3 2019 and became the fourth largest brand in India, grabbing a 16 percent shipment market share.
Showing a sign of recovery, the global smartphone market saw 380 million units in shipments, as compared to 379.8 million units in Q3 2018, Counterpoint Research said on Thursday.
Samsung led the market with a 21 percent share with a strong demand for its A and Note smartphone series, while Huawei reached a record high with an 18 percent share.
