T-Mobile joins OPPO to start 5G network trial operation next year

Following the successful completion of the 5G network test in July this year, Telecom operator T-Mobile and OPPO announced that they will start pilot operation in the Netherlands in early 2020, and the collected data will be used to optimize 5G network connection.

The 5G network in the Netherlands is scheduled to be gradually put into commercial use in 2020. Operator T-Mobile and OPPO will issue a joint statement to jointly promote the testing and development of 5G networks.

It is reported that T-Mobile’s 5G network will be commissioned in the first quarter of 2020, and the results will be used to optimize 5G connectivity in the Dutch market. Recently, OPPO has confirmed to the Dutch media LetsGoDigital that it is developing a new 5G smartphone, which may be the successor of OPPO Reno 5G released earlier this year. The newly developed Oppo smartphone will be used in T-Mobile’s 5G test network.
