Realme has officially unveiled Realme number series smartphone Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro. Realme 6 is the world’s first cheapest smartphone that comes with a 90Hz refresh rate display. Now let’s talk about Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro tips and tricks or hidden features.

1. Dark Mode

Realme UI comes with Android 10’s system-wide dark mode which turns the user interface dark.

  • Go into the Settings menu 
  • Scroll down and you will find Display & Brightness
  • Now you will see Dark Mode.
  • Select the option and you can toggle the Dark mode in the device.
  • You also set Dark mode from Sunset to sunrise and also customize the schedule
  • You can also schedule Dark mode and enable it for third-party apps.

Once it is enabled, you can see that all the system-wide settings and apps will have a dark theme or dark mode.

2. App Lock

Lock your apps for peace of mind- Keep your information safe by encrypting important apps with a password that only you know.

  • Go to the Settings
  • Then go into Privacy
  • Now App Lock
  • Select the apps you want to lock from the list provided and tap Enable Password Verification.
  • Once it’s enabled, there will be a new option appear below to hide the app icon completely from the phone.
  • Then you have to create an access passcode which you need to enter into the dial pad to access the hidden apps.

3. Change Icon Style

  • Go to the “Settings “
  • Then go into “Home Screen & Lock Screen Magazine”
  • Scroll down and select “Set Icon Style”
  • Now you will see different options “Default, Material Style, Pebble”
  • And you can also change the shape, size, and appearance of the icons.

4. Private Safe

Secure your sensitive information- Turn your phone into a mobile vault. Secure photos, audios, and other files you deem sensitive in the Private Safe. For further security, screenshots cannot be taken while Private Safe is being used. To set up the private safe for the first time…

  • Go to Settings 
  • Then go into Fingerprint, Face, and Password 
  • Privacy Password > enter password > Private Safe.
  • There you will be able to put your files.

5. Double-tap to lock screen

Locking screen now made easier. Among the many features that allow SeamlessFun in the new RealmeUI, using the ‘Double Tap to Lock Screen’ feature, you can simply double-tap on an empty area on your home screen to lock your smartphone.

  • Go to Settings
  • Then go into Home screen & Lock screen magazine
  • Now you will find Double Tap to Lock Screen
  • Tap to Enable it.

Now if you on the home screen then whenever you double-tap the home screen the mobile immediately lock.

6. Personal Information Protection

  • Go to Settings
  • Tap on Privacy.
  • Now, tap on Personal Information Protection.
  • Tap on Smart Protection Turn-On toggle to enable it.

You can also choose the application from which you have to protect your personal data leaked.

7. WiFi Calling (VoWiFi)

  • Connect to a Wi-Fi network
  • Go to the Settings
  • Select SIM Card & Mobile Data 
  • Tap on SIM 1 (Make sure you have Airtel/JIO SIM inserted)
  • Then select the option Wi-Fi calling and turn it on. Under the Wi-Fi calling preferences, you should select Wi-Fi calling preferred option.
  • In some time, you can see VoWiFi calling icon in the status bar
  • You are all set now! Whenever you will get a call from the other party using the same feature, you can notice the HD icon on the In-call UI besides the call timer.

Note: 

1. The quality of the call depends on the Wi-Fi connection speed

2. At present, only Airtel and JIO network supports VoWiFi

VoWiFi is the newest and a smart way to get better network. Simply latch on to a Wi-Fi connection and conserve your mobile data.

8. Focus Mode

Realme offers you two entirely different focus modes with our Realme UI: the first being the stock Focus Mode that comes with the Android 10 and the other, our own unique offering with some interesting customizations.

  • Go to Settings
  • Then go into Digital Wellbeing & Parental Controls
  • Tap on Focus Mode

9. THREE-FINGER SCREENSHOT

You can now press, hold, and swipe downwards with three fingers to capture the selected part of the screen, or swipe all the way downwards for a long screenshot.

10. Dual earphones feature

Realme UI brings a very interesting feature that never seen before, it brings Dual earphones feature that means you might have come across few instances where you are listening to music and want to share with your friends. The only way is to turn on the speaker and it is not a convenient way. Also, when you get a call, by default, the music on your smartphone stops and the person next to you have to wait until your call gets over.

By turning on Dual Earphones you can use both Bluetooth and wired earphones at the same time. We usually use our smartphones for consuming media. Having a feature like dual earphone is just amazing, you can share what you are listening with your family and friends. You can share the same music via wired and wireless headphones OR you can attend a call via wireless earphones and simultaneously let the music play on wire earphones.
  • Connect Bluetooth and wired earphones
  • Go to Settings
  • Scroll down and tap Realme Lab
  • Go into and customize your setting
  • The Bluetooth and wired earphones can receive the same audio.
  • The wired earphones receive media audio and the Bluetooth earphones receive phone audio.
