As you know, due to coronavirus, it has been locked down all over India. That is why much Internet is being used. That is the reason WhatsApp users are transferring a lot of message videos on WhatsApp and uploading large videos in a story on WhatsApp status. According to WABetaInfo, now you can no longer send video to WhatsApp Status if they are longer than 15 seconds. Only videos having a duration of 15 seconds will be allowed.
You could have uploaded a 30-second video to WhatsApp Story, which has been reduced to 15 seconds. This is happening only in India and it’s probably an initiative to reduce the traffic on the server infrastructures.
This restriction is not for all users. some users might be still able to post videos having a longer duration. The change should be rolled out for more Indian users soon.
