X (formerly Twitter) announced its latest membership method that aims to reduce spam manipulation on the platform. With the Not-A-Bot subscription service, all new users on X must pay the equivalent of $1 annually to verify their account before they can begin to tweet and retweet.
According to the information, this latest subscription will evaluate a potentially powerful measure to help us combat bots and spammers on X while balancing platform access with small fee amounts. Plus, new users who decline to subscribe will only be able to perform “read-only” actions, such as reading posts, watching videos, and following accounts.
