[Camera] Realme X3 and Realme X3 SuperZoom differences

Recently, Realme launched Realme X3 and Realme X3 SuperZoom in India. The SuperZoom variant has already launched in Europe. Both devices are equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+, 120Hz display, 30W supercharge and a quad-camera setup with dual punch hole selfie camera.

With the Realme X Series, Realme has always aimed to give it’s users the best-in-class flagship experience, with no stones unturned. This time, with its X3 series, Realme has taken another leap, particularly when it comes to mobile photography, with some impressive hardware and software improvisations.

Camera: Realme X3 and Realme X3 SuperZoom

  • Both devices come with a 64MP Ultra high-resolution wide-angle camera as the primary shooter.
  • The major difference between their quad-camera array is that while the Realme X3 SuperZoom consists of an 8 MP Periscope lens (124mm, f/3.4) capable of 5X Optical Zoom and 60X ‘SuperZoom’ along with OIS, the Realme X3 has a 12 MP Telephoto lens (51mm, f/2.5).
  • The other three lenses in the quad-camera array are just the same in both, being:
    • 64MP Ultra high-resolution wide-angle camera (26mm, FOV 78.6°, f/1.8, 6P lens)
    • 8MP Ultra wide-angle lens (16mm, FOV 119°, f/2.3, 5P lens)
    • 2MP Macro lens with a 4 cm focus distance (f/2.4, 1.75μm)
  • Realme X3 SuperZoom, we get a 32 MP Dual In-display Selfie camera as the primary shooter which is equipped with Sony’s high-resolution IMX616 sensor (FOV 80.4°, f/2.5, 5P lens). The secondary 8 MP Ultra-Wide angle Lens lets you shoot selfies (rather, “groupfies”) with a 105° field of view.
  • While on the Realme X3, there’s a 16 MP Dual In-display Selfie Camera (FOV 79.3°, f/2.1, 5P lens) with Sony IMX 471 sensor under the hood. Its secondary camera is the same as the one on Realme X3 SuperZoom: an 8 MP Ultra wide-angle lens (FOV 105°, f/2.2, 5P lens).
  • The Realme X3 & Realme X3 SuperZoom, starting with Nightscape 4.0: a Pro Nightscape mode. With the Realme X3 Series, the Nightscape algorithm is optimized through a combination of improved hardware and software. Multiframe HDR, Multiframe Noise Reduction, and Anti-Blur Optimisation produce ‘Pro’ Photographs, even with difficult light conditions.
