OPPO A5 (2020) gets ColorOS 7.1 August 2020 security update with new features

Recently Oppo has started rolling out August 2020 security patch update for its devices and OPPO Reno 4 Pro is the first device to get this and today is the good news for OPPO A5, 2020 users. Because the mobile is receiving a new software update with new features.

The OPPO A5 2020’s new update brings the Android August 2020 security patch update with ColorOS 7.1 based on Android 10 and adds new features in the device.

The update adds the Personalizations feature in “Settings > Personalizations”. Added the Bottom recommendation feature in “Settings > Bottom recommendation”. could occasionally contain noise in some scenarios. And also adds a new feature to keep network connection stable in the Game mode when you receive a non-VOLTE call on your primary SIM card. Added a new feature to allow users to connect to a Wi-Fi network by scanning the QR code. (Go to “Settings > Wi-Fi, and tap the scan icon in the top right.

It fixes an issue where the recorded system sounds and also fixes some camera issues, that you can see in the changelog below. The update is bumping on build number CPH1933EX_11_C.69 or CPH1931EX_11_C.69 for A5 2020 and it is rolling out in some Asian countries and size 771MB.

    • Fixed an issue where the HDR icon would not display when the rear camera was zoomed more than 1 time. Fixed an issue where the flashlight could be turned on by mistake occasionally. Fixed an issue where the camera would shoot automatically when you opened the Camera app again after you took a photo by Google voice.
