Samsung monthly updates: November 2020 security patch detailed

Samsung has started rolling out the Android November 2020 Security patch. The Galaxy Z Fold 2 becoming the first device to get this update after that followed by Galaxy Xcover Pro and A2 Core.

Today as the company details the November 2020 security patch. The company will soon start rolling out the update to compatible devices. The updates that it sends out include patches from both Google and itself. All of the patches included in the Android Security Bulletin for November 2020 are therefore included in this release.

The November 2020 security patch brings fixes for four critical vulnerabilities that were found in the One UI Android operating system. That’s in addition to over a dozen high and moderate-risk vulnerabilities. It fixes for 34 Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures items are included as well. They’re the vulnerabilities that were found in Samsung’s own software. One of the vulnerabilities allows FRP to bypass through Secure Folder. Another enabled brute force attacks on the Gallery lock authentication bypass using the Reminder app.

Samsung will soon roll out the November 2020 security patch to all remaining compatible devices. We’ll be sure to let you know when the company starts sending out the firmware updates.
