Last month, OnePlus started to roll out new OxygenOS 11 Open Beta 3 for OnePlus and OnePlus 8 Pro users. The update comes with some optimization and fixes some issues. After that, a new changelog is available to download on OnePlus Forum for Beta users.
Don’t Update Open Beta 3
The update rolling out over the air and some users are reporting that it is not Open Beta 3 and it is receiving the Stable update over the Open Beta 3, leading to a full data wipe. If you receive an update OTA, please double-confirm if it’s an Open Beta update. If it isn’t, please DO NOT install it on your OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro devices.
We strongly suggest you backup your key data via a cloud service, perform a full backup via OnePlus Switch, and transfer it to a computer or a USB drive for double insurance.
