OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro gets OxygenOS 11 Open Beta 5 with December 2020 patch, fixes, and new features

The Android 11-based OxygenOS 11 Open Beta 5 is now rolling out for the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro. which bumps up the Android security patch level on both smartphones to December 2020.

The OxygenOS 11 Open Beta 5 has steadily become the main way to ensure that your device is up-to-date and has all of the most recent — not necessarily the “latest” — patches and fixes for your OnePlus device.

The latest OxygenOS 11 Open Beta 5 update is now rolling out with some notable additions alongside new features. Newly added Rewind Recording where you can record the exciting moments in the game of past 30 seconds with just one tap (Swipe down from the upper left or right corner to quickly open in the Gaming Tools) and Refresh the animation effects when activating the front camera.

Additionally, the new beta build brings in some bug fixes and optimizations for system launcher, network stability, and Bluetooth experience of playing music.
