Xiaomi starts pushing the Android January 2021 security patch update for some Xiaomi, Redmi, and Poco smartphones now Mi Play Global users join the party, the company is rolling out January 2021 security patch.
The newest security patch for the Mi Play– dated January 5th, 2021 – started reaching the global from Xiaomi’s mid-range. The update rolls out over the air on Android 8.1 based MIUI firmware number V11.0.10.0.OFIMIXM and it fixes noise could be heard when the screen was turned off in some cases.
It is surprising to see the Mi Play getting the new security patch ahead of newer high-end phones from the company. We expect Xiaomi to expand the new security patch to other markets and other devices soon.
