OPPO Reno5 4G grabs ColorOS 11.1 update with January 2021 security patch

Last year in December 2020, OPPO launched Reno5 4G smartphone in several markets. The smartphone runs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G SoC coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It has a 6.43-inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 90Hz.

The OPPO Reno5 4G comes with quad rear cameras; a 64MP primary, 8MP ultra-wide, a 2MP depth, and a 2MP macro lens. However, the selfie camera is upgraded to a 44MP module, instead of the 32MP sensor used on the 5G variant of the smartphone.

Oppo Reno5 4G is receiving a new ColorOS 11.1 update. The new update brings a new security patch and optimizes and system performance. This is not the first smartphone to receive the ColorOS 11.1 update, previously OPPO F11 series, Reno4 series and several smartphones have received the update.

The latest update brings the Android January 2021 security patch level on the Reno5 4G and improves the system stability and performance.

OPPO Reno 5’s new update build comes with version number CPH2159_11_A.19 and a download package of around 500MB. It’s currently rolling out where the mobile is launch.

Recently the OPPO Reno 5 Pro receives the January 2021 patch update in India, and it will expand for global unites.
