The update rolls out over the air on Android 10 based MIUI firmware number V12.0.11.0.QCDMIXM and it fixes noise could be heard when the screen was turned off in some cases.

It is surprising to see the Redmi 9A getting the new security patch ahead of newer high-end phones from the company. We expect Xiaomi to expand the new security patch to other markets and other devices soon.
