The Galaxy S20 series is reportedly getting a new software update. According to the company’s changelog, there are a bunch of improving the camera performance of smartphones.

Primarily, the update focuses on fixing system issues as well as the camera. The company had rolled out March 2021 patch update this month and this is the second update for the latest handsets. The update improves the camera performance. While we don’t see any new features after installing the update, it is possible that it improves the image processing, stability, or performance of the camera. As usual, the update also includes other bug fixes, device stability, and performance improvements.

The new update also improves system stability. As always, this OTA will be incremental. The OTA will reach a small percentage of users of Germany, and we’ll begin a broader rollout in a few days.

The new update for Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 Plus, and Galaxy S20 Ulta carries firmware version G981BXXU7DUC7, G986BXXU7DUC7, and G988BXXU7DUC7 respectively, is around 500MB in size, so we recommend using a Wi-Fi network to download it.

The update rolling out over the air so you can download from going to Settings, tap the option that says Software update at the bottom, and finally select Download and install.
