Realme debuts July 2021 security update, start with the Realme X on Android 11

Realme is rolling out the current month’s security patch. The July 2021 security update has been released for the company’s one & only pop selfie camera phone Realme X today, and if Realme’s recent track record is anything to go by, more Realme smartphones will join the fray later today and over the next few days, all before the competition even realizes what is happening.

The update rolls out for Android 11-based Realme UI 2.0 beta users. More markets could get access to Realme X’s latest security update over the coming days. The update, which has firmware version RMX1901EX_11_F.02, includes the July 2021 security patch. According to Realme’s documentation, the July patch fixes some vulnerabilities. Don’t expect the update to bring any new features.
