A new month has begun, Realme is rolling out a new software update for Realme 8 5G smartphone. We expect that the update will bring the September patch but we’ll have to be content with the August 2021 security patch.
Realme 8 5G August 2021 Security Update
The update is available via OTA it will have a staged rollout. The OTA will be randomly pushed out to a limited number of users today and will have a broader rollout in a few days after making sure there are no critical bugs. If no critical bugs are found, the full rollout will be completed in the upcoming days. To check if the update is available for your device, navigate to Settings > System > System Updates.

The new August 2021 update is available via a new firmware update that carries a build number RMX3241_11_A.10 with an update size of 571MB. The update is currently rolling out to Realme 8 5G users in India, 4G users will have to wait a bit for this update.

We were expecting this update to be the new DRE feature of Realme, but according to the changelog, it optimizes the image brightness in the rear camera, fixes light leakage issues in the front camera, and optimizes network connection.
