Check Your Huawei/Honor: HarmonyOS 2.0 Supported Device List – As we all know that previously Huawei launched a self-developed operating system named HarmonyOS in August 2019. Which is also known as HongmengOS, designed to deliver a multifarious user experience across all devices and scenarios. It’s a new microkernel-based, distributed operating system.
1`It is anticipated that Huawei will keep the HarmonyOS initial to the Chinese market and will expand it to the global users after a test in the domestic market. Additionally, Huawei is likely to prioritize the devices launched only on Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) for HarmonyOS upgrade. According to the official roadmap–
- HarmonyOS 2.0 will support devices with up to 128MB RAM (Smart wearables and other IoT devices.)
- In 2021, It’ll support devices up to 4GB RAM (Tablets and entry-level smartphones.)
- By the end of 2021, this RAM limit will increase over 4GB (Support of flagship smartphones.)
Recently HarmonyOS authoritatively rolled out the improved procedure for the HarmonyOS system. currently, 80 Huawei and Honor models are getting the update.
Although, according to the announcement 65 devices from the Huawei and Honor portfolio are now eligible for a software update. Also, the company promised around 100 devices to switch from Android to Harmony OS 2.0
Specific models for the stable updates include the Huawei Mate 40 series, Huawei P40 series, Huawei Mate 30 series, Huawei Nova series (some models), Huawei Mate 20 series, Huawei pleasure series, Huawei Tab, Huawei Matepad series, Honor Mobile.
