Ibai was crowned as the Streamer of the Year in Esports Awards 2021

Ibai Llanos has been named Twitch streamer of the year, defeating a slew of renowned competitors, including Dr. Disrespect, Summit1g, Shroud, Mortal, and others. This demonstrates the global dominance of the Spanish-speaking population, including both Latin America and Spain.

Ibai is a League of Legends broadcaster who is well-known among Spanish speakers. He is also no slouch in terms of numbers, ranking 13th on Twitch.

His YouTube channel has a massive 7.8 million subscribers. He is generally an entertaining content creator who also occasionally creates videos on Minecraft and Among Us as well.

Here is the full list of nominees for the Streamer of the Year 2021 Esports awards:

  • TheGrefg
  • Dr Disrespect
  • Summit1g
  • Ibai [Winner]
  • LOUD Coringa
  • Ludwig
  • CouRage
  • Valkyrae
  • xQc
  • NICKMERCS
  • Shroud
  • Mortal

No doubt, all of these are big names and all are deserving. However, Indian fans are a bit disappointed as Mortal couldn’t get the title this year. It is also quite surprising that big names like xQc and Shroud were left behind by the Spanish-speaking Ibai.

Mortal gave a close call at the Esports Streamer of the Year Awards 2020, where he became the runner-up, and everyone expected him to win the title this year. However, it seems like the title is still a far cry from Mortal. Fans should not give up hope because it is very possible that Mortal will represent India in the same category again in 2022.
