The OnePlus 6 series has already received its last major update Android 11 on OxygenOS 11, which means, OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T users will not receive the OxygenOS 12 update which has been officially been confirmed by OnePlus.
However, the company is providing a new software update, the latest OxygenOS 11.1.2.2 brings November 2021 security patch for the OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T smartphones, previously, users who updated to stable build reportedly faced severe system related bugs and issues, but now the problem has been fixed with the latest firmware.
Unfortunately, the version of the operating system remains unchanged, anchoring to Android 11.0. Furthermore, the changelog does not report any other mention of particular changes and/or additions, except for the security patches of November 2021. The international version of the firmware is the OxygenOS 11.1.2.2 and will continue to reach the OnePlus 6 & 6 Pro globally.
