PUBG New State developers add new Merit system; Bans players for negative behavior and more

PUBG New State is amongst the most discussed and also one of the most played PUBG Mobile variants. The game is a hot topic for gamers as every now and then, the game offers patch updates to fix bugs and glitches and also adds several new contents to the game.

Another important area of PUBG New State’s characteristic is its advanced anti-cheat system. The anti-cheat system is strict and has restricted even emulators to ban 3rd party usage. Hence, it is quite obvious that the devs are trying hard to omit any negative impact on the gameplay environment.

PUBG New State introduces new Merit system for players: Here’s everything you need to know

As per the official patch notes, the new Merit system will ban players from spreading or performing negative behavior during the gameplay. As per the notes:

“A penalty system to punish negative behavior has been added.”

– PUBG New State

Here are the detailed rules of the penalty system:

  • A Survivor’s Merit Points will decrease if they are reported for team kills or other displays of negative behavior, and multiple reports will result in a lower score.
  • If their Merit Points fall below a certain score, the Survivor will be restricted from playing Squad Mode. (They will still be able to play in Solo Mode.)
  • By playing Solo Mode, they can slowly increase their Merit Points over time.
  • Once their score is high enough, the restriction will be lifted, and they will be able to play Squad Mode again.

The devs further stated:

We will continue to build upon the Merit Points System and add more advantages and penalties to the system in the future.

– Team PUBG New State

The Merit system is actually quite a lot similar to that of the PUBG Mobile variants. Merit points below 60 will lead to a temporary ban for squad gameplays and players have to add up the merit points slowly by playing the game in solo mode.

Along with the new Merit update, a lot of other in-game content addition and bug fixation has also been done by the devs. You can read the full explained patch notes here: PUBG New State December patch notes details
