Fans of BGMI Lite are eagerly awaiting additional information about the game’s release date. It’s been a while since Krafton provided more information regarding the future lighter version of BGMI.
For a long time, battle royale fans with low-end smartphones have been requesting the introduction of BGMI Lite. Krafton’s step toward knowing more about the reason for the game’s release via the poll reassured users that BGMI Lite will be available shortly.
- I can’t play BGMI on my low-end device.
- I can play BGMI, but I’ll have better frame rates and performance in the LITE version on my device.
- I spent money in LITE version and want to transfer my data/inventory.

Updates regarding the launch of BGMI aka Battlegrounds Mobile India Lite
Abhijeet “Ghatak” Andhare commented on the likely release date of BGMI Lite in an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda Esports:
“Players can expect good news with regards to the release of BGMI Lite really soon. It might arrive by the end of December or sooner!”

As a result, players anticipate that the game will be released around mid-December. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Krafton has yet to confirm the official release date of BGMI Lite or whether the lighter version of Battlegrounds Mobile India will arrive at all.
Why BGMI Lite launch is getting delayed?
Fans have gone to social media, particularly Twitter, to inquire about the release of BGMI Lite from Krafton and other renowned BGMI influencers.

However, the most possible reasons why Krafton is not providing any updates regarding the launch date of BGMI Lite are:
- The element of surprise – It is known to all that BGMI was introduced within a flash, which created a great hype amongst the fans. Probably, Krafton is planning to do the same with the launch of BGMI Lite.
- Game development takes time – Developing and creating a game takes time. Although fans have been asking for BGMI Lite for quite sometime, it was pretty clear that Krafton had no plans for BGMI Lite. Upon the sudden urge of the game, the devs might think to create the game to satisfy the users. However, it should be noted that developing a mobile battle royale game takes at least one year of time. As the website signitysolutions rightly stated:

Hence, players might have to wait a tad bit more for the game’s arrival. There is a great probability that Krafton will share an update regarding the launch of BGMI Lite by January or February 2022.
