Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Flip 3 got the January 2022 security update in the US

Samsung promised us three years of major software updates and five years of security updates for the current Galaxy devices. And as promised the latest January 2022 security patch update is here. Samsung started to roll this latest update to a variety of Galaxy devices for the last two weeks. Now it is also available for Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Flip 3 in the US via carrier network Verizon.

Initially, Samsung started to roll out the January 2022 security patch for Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Flip 3 in the European markets. Now, carrier network Verizon has made it available for these models. This latest security update comes with many improvements for the overall security of your device.

The Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Flip 3 comes with the firmware versions F926USQS1BULB AND F711USQS2BULB respectively.

Some of the bugs that Samsung fixes in this SMR update include unprotected dynamic receiver in SecSettings, Improper sanitization of incoming intent in Dressroom, improper check or handling of exceptional conditions in NPU driver, improper authorization in TelephonyManager, incorrect implementation of Knox Guard, etc. So it smooths out the user experience altogether.
