As of now, the Santorini map is not available for players in the game. But as previously stated, the beta testers have seen the map in the Arena segment of the 1.8 beta version. However, some popular sources told that the map was removed from the beta version before the official launch of the 1.8 update.
But now, the map is again visible in the beta version. Although there has been no official release date yet, it can be assumed that the Santorini 8v8 TDM map will be released in the 1.9 update in March 2022. Before that, the chances of getting this 8v8 TDM map in the 1.8 version is too scarce.
Features and description of Santorini
Santorini, is an island in the southern Aegean Sea, about 200 km (120 mi) southeast of the Greek mainland. It is the largest island of a small, circular archipelago, which bears the same name and is the remnant of a caldera. The BGMI TDM map was made keeping in mind the original structure of the Santorini island.
Players can expect a labyrinth of the houses in the new 8 vs 8 TDM map where eight players will face off against a team of another eight players in a highly intense gunfight.
The first team to reach a total score of 80 shall win the match. The spawn point will have the selection of weapons like every other Arena TDM match.
The map will be small but will have a maze-like structure with several obstacles, which will make the gameplay more fun and interesting. Climbing ladders will also be there which will allow players to climb buildings.

However, one of the most probable reasons why the launch of this new map is delayed is the bugs and glitches in this mode. Lots of bugs and errors might have compelled the developers to delay this mode and hopefully, this mode will be launched after fixing all of those errors in the 1.9 version.
