Samsung Galaxy S10 series looses VR support after upgrading to Android 12

If you are a Samsung Galaxy S10 series users and you have already got the latest Android 12 One UI 4.0 update, well we have some news for you! We all know that Samsung started to roll out their latest Android 12 a month ago. Though this update brought out smiles for the Galaxy users, S10 customers with Gear VR Headset were really worried. They had two options. Either update their phones for a better user experience or skip this latest update and continue to use their Gear VR Headset.

Though most of the users chose the first one to get futures security update. So most of them lost the VR support as well. According to a notice sent by Oculus Team, they are withdrawing the VR support from the Galaxy S10 series as you update your phone. And once you update to Android 12, you will not be able to go back to the previous OS version.

The Galaxy S10 series devices that will face this VR withdrawal are Galaxy S10, S10+, S10e, and S10 5G. It is quite a bad news for them. But we believe the number of people using these phones with the Gear VR Headset are pretty low. Otherwise Samsung and Oculus would not do it this way! But there’s nothing to do now! We heard from the users that they already got the notifications about the support not working.
