Google Duo App supports video calls with up to 32 members but lacks some advanced features that are also useful in large video conferences. Two of them would be on the way, as revealed by the code of the APK of the latest version: the recording of calls and workgroups, or Breakout Rooms.
Google Duo wants to be something more than the simple video calling app that comes on Android mobiles, and it will start to enhance its more productive profile, in addition to starting to step on the ground of Google Meet. The APK text strings, discovered by XDA, make it clear that the company is working on incorporating workgroups, call recording, and streaming.

Surprisingly, it looks like it’s going to happen the other way around as well: Google Duo looks like it’s going to adopt some features from Google Meet, thus adding some extra mystery to the plot.
