Samsung is going to update the Galaxy A51 only two times a year. According to Samsung’s official website, they will be updating the Galaxy A51 smart phone not every month but only two times a year. We are talking about the monthly security patches here. Samsung promised us three years of major updates and five years of security patch update. But they did not promise us anything about the monthly security patches.

It’s not a great news for Samsung Galaxy A51 users but looks like it will only be getting two security updates in a whole year. Samsung launched this phone two years back and it is still going on as one of the company’s best sellers. It already received a major OS update – the Android 11 software update. Though Galaxy A51 is supposed to get the Android 12 and Android 13 update, lets hope there will be no change regarding that.

On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy A51 5G is going is get four security patch update in a year, living its primary model behind. We are hoping the Samsung Galaxy A51 users will not be quite upset but they still have another two major updates and three years of security patch updates to look forward to!
