Cyberpunk 2077 developer claims the biggest 1.5 patch update leaks are fake: Here’s everything you need to know

CD Projekt Red, or more precisely, a CD Projekt Red developer, has replied to the recent and significant Cyberpunk 2077 leak that has been making the rounds online. However, the biggest 1.5 patch update leaks of Cyberpunk have been completely regarded as fake by Cyberpunk developer Radek.

The leak more essentially reveals the future of Google Stadia, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X games. While some of the information may be correct, the leak as a whole has been shut down by the aforementioned developer.

According to the leak, the Cyberpunk 2077 next-gen patch – patch 1.5 – would act as a soft relaunch of the game under the title Cyberpunk 2077: Samurai Edition.

To that end, it’s been reported that CD Projekt Red will launch the updated version of the game in February during a large live stream, along with the first expansion and the Netflix animated series.

The leak then claims that the patch would include barbershops, improved AI, a garage, a transmog system, a rebalanced loot system, and a new UI. In addition, it has been stated that free DLC would be launched with four new weapons, new game features, apartment customization, and new gigs.

It’s also reported that there will be a bunch of new minor tweaks, such as Judy and Panam sending players significantly more text messages during the game to make things more genuine.

There’s a lot more to the leak, including information on the game’s first expansion, which takes place in Pacifica and is claimed to be “very vast,” as well as a Gwent-like mini-game.

Some of this information has since been extracted from the game’s files, while others have gone unverified. However, a developer on the game took to Twitter to dismiss the leak as a whole, but not conclusively. Hence, fans are a bit confused about whether or not to believe these leaks that are recently surfacing online.
