Google has introduced the new operating system Android 12 for all OEMs, and Material You is the new design language, it is a completely new way of thinking about design. Material You is very important to Google, so much so that the company is going to impose its use in Android 12 and all manufacturers must adapt it to their customization layer. Material You is a purely aesthetic function that ensures that the colors of the operating system and even those of the menus of certain apps take on the same color, specifically the one that predominates on the smartphone’s wallpaper automatically.

Google thus seeks to gradually unify the appearance of those devices that include Android under their customization layer. Xiaomi does not have to worry about it since it has recently added it to MIUI 13. This is seen in Realme UI 3.0 under the name “Smart Theming Engine”.
