Cyberpunk 2077 has been discovered on the Xbox Store as an Xbox Series S/X optimized title, ahead of CD Projekt’s scheduled live stream later today.
The popular role-playing game may soon be available in an improved edition for Microsoft’s Xbox Series S/X and Sony’s PlayStation 5 systems, which might be unveiled during the presentation on Tuesday.
The Polish video game developer previously announced that a current-generation version of the game, as well as a big upgrade, was planned for Q1 2022 — that quarter runs from January 1 to March 31.

According to GameSpot, Cyberpunk 2077 has been featured on the Xbox Store as an “optimized” title with Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Sea of Thieves, the Grand Theft Auto Definitive Edition trilogy, and House of Ashes. Meanwhile, the publisher announced on Monday that a fresh REDstreams event will take place today at 4 pm CET/8:30 pm IST.

During the live stream, CD Projekt is likely to unveil an optimized version of Cyberpunk 2077 on Xbox Series S/X and PlayStation 5 systems.

Despite a buggy start, Cyberpunk 2077 soared to the #1 selling game on Steam by the end of 2021. The game has an 84 percent good rating on Steam, and last year, gamers who evaluated the game as of patch 1.31 with over 100 hours in the game praised it as a great buy and “breathtaking.”
Adam Kiciski, President and Joint CEO of CD Projekt Group, said in November 2021 that a version of the game for current-generation gaming consoles will be released in Q1 2022. The game was supposed to be released last year for the Sony PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X platforms, however, it was pushed back to this year.
Meanwhile, the game is planned to receive a big expansion later in 2022, which is expected to include a fee for players who already possess the original title. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will also have a current-gen console version developed by CD Projekt.
