New State Mobile announced its first-ever major esports tournament. called the Open Challenge, a few weeks back. Today is the first day of that tournament. However, this is an exclusive event based in Korea.

As it has been previously stated, NEW STATE MOBILE’s first online amateur esports tournament kicked off today in Korea with 24 teams having cemented their spots in the Group Stages. They will battle it out in Troi this week for a chance to take home 200,000,000 KRW.

Tournament Details and format
- Mode: BR: EXTREME (Troi)
- Team Details: 24 Teams (4 Survivors in each team), TPP Mode
- Stage Details:
- Group Stages:
- 24 teams will be divided into 3 groups.
- The top 2 teams in each group will advance to Play-Offs.
- 6 teams will advance to Play-Offs in the Group Stages.
- Wild Card Round:
- 8 teams will face off for the remaining 2 Play-Offs spots.
- The teams in this round will consist of the teams that ranked 3rd and 4th in each group during the Group Stages.
- 2 teams will advance to Play-Offs.
- Play-Offs:
- 8 teams will battle it out in Troi.

All rounds will evaluate teams based on the following points system:

To celebrate the Open Challenge, an exclusive coupon event will be held during Play-Offs on Feb. 19. There will be 3 coupon drops during the Livestream:
- Coupon Drop 1: 5 Chicken Medals + 1 Troi 150% BP Card
- Coupon Drop 2: 5 Chicken Medals + 1 Erangel 150% BP Card
- Coupon Drop 3: 10 Chicken Medals + 1 Royale Chest
