Top 3 reasons why BGMI Lite release will be more successful after the Free Fire ban in India

The introduction of BGMI Lite is one of the most discussed topics of debate in the Indian gaming community. Despite BGMI being published last year and earning enormous popularity as the Indian version of PUBG Mobile, the creators are yet to release the Lite version in the nation.

Fans of PUBG Mobile Lite have gone through a terrible time when the game was banned in 2020 along with its better predecessor, and they’ve been waiting for the release of Battlegrounds Mobile India Lite since then. They have turned to their social media pages requesting Krafton to release their favorite game in India.

However, all those efforts have not yet been reciprocated. Here are some of the best reasons why Krafton should release BGMI Lite after the Free Fire ban in India and why it will be more successful now.

How has Free Fire’s ban in India accelerated the necessity for the release of BGMI Lite in India?

1) Free Fire’s massive player base

Free Fire was one of the most played battle royale titles in India garnering over 24 million downloads and installs on the Play Store. India alone shared a download rate of 25.5%. Hence, such a huge player base has lost their most played BR game on phone right now, and launching BGMI Lite would have solved the problem.

Millions of Free Fire players would have shifted to BGMI Lite as an alternative to the former, making the launch of BGMI Lite both successful and massive.

2) Large-scale low-end device users will be the target of BGMI Lite after release

Since it might be a while until Free Fire is unbanned, many players will probably migrate to playing BGMI. However, the Lite version is required in the market to appeal to the big player base that used to play Free Fire on their low-end smartphones. This would have made the approaching days the best opportunity for Krafton to release BGMI Lite.

3) PUBG Mobile Lite player base

Although the player base of PUBG Mobile Lite is in disappointment with the game’s exile in India, fans see a new hope after Free Fire was banned in the country. To shape the most accurate and playable alternative of Free Fire on 1 GB or 2 GB RAM devices, BGMI Lite will be the best option.

Hence, releasing the game would have made it a win-win situation for both Krafton as well as Free Fire and PUBG Mobile Lite fans.
