WhatsApp has already started bringing out a lot of new modifications in its upcoming features in the beta programming application. Recently, WhatsApp has started rolling out the new message forwarding restriction and is now working on a ‘Keep disappearing messages’ feature.
This article shares every detail about all that WhatsApp has worked on to date.
WhatsApp restricts message forwarding limit and also works on a major feature update
WhatsApp issued a blog post outlining new limits on message forwarding two years ago. The blog article announced a new feature that automatically identified messages as often forwarded if they were forwarded a lot of times (more than 4 times).
WhatsApp messages have a counter that keeps track of how many times a message is forwarded, yet the firm cannot read this counter since messages are end-to-end encrypted.
Therefore, WhatsApp is now adding a new constraint when forwarding messages with the introduction of the new WhatsApp beta for the Android 2.22.7.2 update.
When a message is tagged as forwarded, it may no longer be sent to more than one group chat at the same time. If you want to transmit this message to more than one group chat, you must select it and forward it again. The new limitation takes effect even if the message is forwarded only once, which differs from the prior limitation.
After a restriction on message forwarding, the company is now working on a new ‘Keep disappearing messages’ feature, that might benefit several users.
According to WABetainfo, in this feature, if you choose to retain a disappearing message in the conversation, a new alert appears asking if you want to keep the message in the chat. If you already saved a vanishing message in the conversation, you can choose to delete it afterward.

If you decide to keep the message, it will remain in the chat until its expiration date and the receiver will still be able to read it, but they will be able to remove it later.
This feature appears to be at an early stage of development, hence, like with any other feature in development, its purpose may alter before its release, or the feature may be deleted.
