Pixel 6 and 6 Pro March Pixel Feature Drop update release date

The Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro OS release schedule has been revised on Fido’s “OS Upgrade Schedule” website to highlight that March 21 should be the day. Hence, March 21 2022 is probably the official release date of the March Pixel Feature drop on Pixel 6 and 6 Pro.

This date has probably been thrown around the internet a few times since Google rolled out the build to all of the other Pixel devices, but this is the first time we’ve seen a semi-official recognition of it.

Fido has a fairly decent track record with these release dates, and we’re also running out of Mondays in March, which happens to be the day of the week that Google prefers to send updates. Hence, it is quite probable that the patch should come on March 21 only.

To summarise the March update, Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro owners can expect plenty of new features as a result of the update being a Pixel Feature Drop. The update should include a new battery widget, extra features in At a Glance, Live Captioning in calls, and other improvements.

The update is also a quarterly update that fixes dozens and dozens of issues. The list is rather long.  If your Pixel 6 was experiencing any abnormal activity, it’s likely that it will be resolved next week.
