OnePlus has already released the Android 12 update for its flagships OnePlus 9 and the OnePlus 8 series. OnePlus Nord was the very first mid-range device launched on the market by OnePlus, and a couple of years from its launch it receives the first public beta of Android 12 with the OxygenOS 12. The installation procedure is the classic one which involves the manual download of the ROM file, below you will find the direct links, in the device, and then select the Local update option from the device settings. The procedure will not perform a factory data reset but OnePlus recommends making a security backup.
Download OxygenOS 12 Open Beta 1 for OnePlus Nord 5G
- Download the latest ROM upgrade zip package from the specified server.
- Copy the ROM upgrade package to the phone storage.
- Go to Settings -> System -> System Updates -> Click top right icon -> Local upgrade -> Click on the corresponding installation package -> upgrade -> System upgrade completed to 100%.
- After the upgrade is complete, click Restart.
- Update successful.
Download Rollback Package
- Download the suitable rollback package from the links below.
- Copy the Rollback package to the phone storage.
- Go to Settings -> About device -> Version -> Click Build number 7 times and enter the password, now you are in the developer mode.
- Go back Settings -> About device -> Software update -> Click the top right button -> Local install -> Click on the corresponding installation package -> upgrade -> System upgrade completed to 100%.
- After the upgrade is complete, click Restart.
- Rollback successful.
