Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 gets new firmware: Google Assistant support is coming

Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 latest smartwatch series form Korean giant receiving a new firmware update, and the Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic brings Google Assistant report Verizon (h/t Droid-Life). Despite this, Google Assistant has yet to officially arrive.

For US users, in fact, a firmware update had been released by Verizon, which mentioned the possibility of activating Assistant with the classic keyword. It seems, however, that for both watches support for Google Assistant is not yet ready and the Verizon staff has removed any reference to it from the telephone operator’s website. The changelog demonstrates how to turn on Assistant from the Settings app > Google > Assistant. Options include enabling “Hey Google” detection and “speech output.”
It is not clear why Verizon has removed the references to this novelty but it is likely that it is not yet ready to be actually made available to users and a confirmation to this effect comes from 9to5Google , which has contacted the Korean giant to have elucidations, getting the answer that “there is nothing to share at this moment” .
Subsequently, however, none of those who received the update was able to access the Assistant, as well as no official communication from Samsung regarding the implementation of Assistant.
