Week 48: All About Android 14-based One UI 6.0, OxygenOS 14, ColorOS 14, And Regular Updates

Samsung One UI 6.0:

This week, Samsung held its Developer Conference 2023 (SDC23) with several new major announcements. One of the best announcements is the One UI 6.0, that fans have been waiting for for a long time. According to the report, One UI 6.0 will come with lots of new features and improvements, including Revamped Quick Panel, One UI Sans, New AI photo editing, Samsung Studio, and more.

Apart from this, Samsung released the One UI 6.0 beta 6 for Galaxy S23, One UI 6.0 beta 2 for Galaxy S22, and One UI 6.0 Beta program for Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5.

Realme UI 5.0:

After releasing the stable version of Android 14, Realme has officially announced its plans to roll out the Android 14-based Realme UI 5.0 update in India. Notably, the Realme GT2 Pro was the first device to be updated to Realme UI 5.0 based on Android 14 Early Access, while the next in line is the Realme GT Neo 3 and GT Neo 3 150W and the rest of the Realme devices to be updated to Realme UI 5.0 based on Android 14 Early Access in coming months.

iQOO FuntouchOS 14:

Earlier in the week, Vivo is trying to get a leg up on the competition this year, announcing that Funtouch OS 14 – which is, of course, based on Android 14 – will have a global launch on October 7.

Similar to the other brand, iQOO has shared a list of eligible smartphones and a roadmap for Android14-based Funtouch OS 14 for iQOO phones. The iQOO smartphone upgrade rollout timeline includes over two dozen devices, and the iQOO 11 will receive Funtouch OS 14 this month and the next smartphones to receive the Funtouch OS 14 beta are the iQOO 9 Pro and iQOO 9T.

Xiaomi MIUI 15:

Xiaomi has rolled out the Android 14-based MIUI update for Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 13 Pro, and Xiaomi 12T from October 4. The flagship firmware is currently available for Mi beta testers and may soon be released to everyone else in the country.
