Google Play Services for AR, previously known as ARCore, has just seen the list of supported devices significantly lengthen, which now includes the new mid-range OnePlus smartphones.
For those who are unfamiliar with what ARCore is, Google Play Services for AR is an Android package that is automatically installed on suitable devices and dedicated to the specific use of augmented reality content. All supported devices are certified and various hardware requirements such as motion sensors, cameras, and CPUs are the basis for the eligibility certification.

In general, the new devices are certified before the launch on the market or immediately after and this is exactly what happened with the OnePlus 9RT: the smartphone has just popped up in the official list of devices supported by Google ‘s Play Services for AR, available on this page.
