Google has already released the first public beta of its latest Android 13 operating system, which will debut in October 2022 in a stable version for the Pixel family and other OEMs.
The Android 13 brings several new features, and among the most interesting is the ability to customize the display’s resolution more straightforwardly. Earlier, this feature was under the developer option, which seemed inconvenient. With Android 13, however, it will be possible to customize the display resolution directly from Settings Menu.
The screenshot in the gallery below summarizes the option to customize the display resolution with Android 13. The novelty has been found by Mishaal Rahman but is not yet publicly available, not even for those who have installed the Android 13 beta. We expect it to come with upcoming betas or, at the latest, with the stable.
Android 13 introduces support for switching the resolution in the Settings app. A new “Screen resolution” page will appear under Settings > “Display” on supported devices that lets the user choose between FHD+ (1080p) or QHD+ (1440p), the two most common screen resolutions seen on handhelds and tablets.
