Android Auto’s latest update add new feature for Hyundai cars. Some Hyundai vehicles with widescreen displays have started to support full-screen viewing. According to one user on Reddit, in fact, a 2021 Elantra supports wide view after the last update. Before, however, the screen occupied only two-thirds of the display.
In addition, the same user claimed to have used Android Auto with the cable and had to activate the developer option “enable split screen”. The only malfunction was its “AAWireless” Android Auto wireless adapter, which didn’t work until “passthrough” mode was enabled.
AutoEvolution also said some Kia vehicles are receiving the update that adds support to the widescreen format (introduced in 2021 for some Mazda, BMW and Skoda vehicles).
