Google Pixel 6a is coming in India

Google Pixel 6a smartphone is confirmed to be launched in India. The latest pixel phone was announced at Google I/O on Wednesday. Besides the confirmation at the event, Google also tweeted the news of its new smartphone’s launch in India.

Google Pixel 6a will be the first phone to launch in India after the Pixel 4a. A Google spokesperson has clarified why Google’s withdrawal of the Pixel 6 series from India in a statement to Gadgets360. “Due to a variety of factors including global demand supply issues, we cannot make our products available in all markets”. 

The real reason behind not launching Pixel series 5 & Pixel 4a 5G in the country is due to its lack of 5G networks. But the market has changed rapidly in the last couple of years, which seems to have compelled Google to set foot in the Indian market. 

However, the smartphone has launched in selected market including  Canada, Australia, France, Germany, Ireland, Japan, Italy, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Taiwan, Spain, United Kingdom, and the United States. You can check out the full article here.

The Pixel 6a have 6.1 inch OLED display with support for Full HD+ resolution but only 60Hz refresh rate. The screen gets Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and a built-in fingerprint sensor. The Google Tensor chipset powers 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. Pixel 6a has a dual rear camera setup with a 12.2-megapixel wide sensor and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor. The front of the phone gets an 8-megapixel snapper. 

Google Pixel 6a price announced at the Google I/O was around $449 and we expect it will arrive in India Rs. 44990.
