Realme is working on a smartphone with 100W charging support

Realme is working on a fast charging technology that will give an output of over 100W and charge one-third of a 4000mAh battery within three minutes. As mentioned by our source @digitalchatstation, the 100W+ fast charging solution will likely be called Ultra Dart and replace the existing 65W Super Dart charging tech on Realme’s flagship smartphones.

Existing phones using older incarnations of Dart charged at between 18W and 65W. The best of them can fully charge in 35 minutes. UltraDart aims to go even faster while adding more features to ensure battery safety and longevity.

The charging head supports 11V 9.1A, and the goal is to enable 0-50% charging in just 5 minutes. Realme uses multiple boost charge pumps to increase the current to get there. The charging solution could break past the 100W mark to offer an output of 150W and could be launched later this month.

This technology will soon be available for mass consumers as the Realme GT Neo3 with 150W charging launches and the more affordable 100W models. Realme is yet to make an official announcement.
