Realme C12 OTA Update: Latest Android May 2022 Security Patch Rolling Out

Realme C12 launched in India back in 2020. It comes with a waterdrop-style display notch, a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. It features a 6.5-inch HD+ and is powered with MediaTek Helio G35 SoC with 3GB RAM.

Realme C12 comes with a triple rear camera setup that includes a 13-MP primary sensor. The camera setup also has a 2-MP monochrome sensor and a 2-MP macro sensor. Whereas, the front camera, it offers a 5-MP sensor. The 32GB phone storage is expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card. It also packs a 6,000mAh battery that supports reverse charging.

Finally, the company has started the latest Android May 2022 security patch update in India, it comes on build number RMX2189_11_C.12 on Realme UI 2.0. However the changelog also mention April 2022 security patch and improves system performance in some scenarios.

[March 20th] – March 2022 Security Patch

Realme is sending the March 2022 update for Realme C12 in India. The new update comes with March 2022 Android security patch. Sadly no new feature is available in this update, Optimizes the Dual-mode audio function and fixes an issue where an “Android” icon might appear on the Home screen after you install an app from Google Play.

The latest update is available over the air and bumps on the build number RMX2189_11_C.11 on Realme UI 2.0-based Android 11.

In order to ensure the stability of this update, it will have a staged rollout. The update will be randomly pushed out to a limited number of users today and will have a broader rollout in a few days after making sure there are no critical bugs. If no critical bugs are found, the full rollout will be completed in the upcoming days.
