Samsung Galaxy’s RAM Plus Feature (RAM Expansion feature) Supported Device List

Many of the smartphone OEMs have introduced their own take on virtual RAM expansion so that low-memory phones can keep up with the ever-increasing demand by apps. This boosts the multi-tasking capabilities and keeps more apps cached for faster launch times.

So, finally, Samsung has found a way to increase your phone’s RAM for free. Well, don’t get too excited. It’s actually a feature called RAM Plus that the company is enabling in several Galaxy smartphones. The RAM Plus feature is like old wine in a new bottle because it is a rehash of the memory paging feature that already exists in Android and almost all other modern operating systems.

The expansion can increase the RAM capacity of the phone by as much as 7GB. This means that an average 4GB smartphone can get as much as 11GB RAM capacity. Furthermore, a 12GB smartphone can get as much as 19GB RAM capacity.
