iQOO rolls out May 2022 Security Update For iQOO 7, iQOO 9, and iQOO 9 SE [Changelog]

The company recently pushed new OTA updates for iQOO Z5 and newly launched iQOO Neo 6 smartphones with several fixes and a May security patch. Now, three more smartphones have joined the party.

The May 2022 security patch is rolling out for iQOO 7, iQOO 9, and iQOO 9 SE in India. All three devices are getting a new update via OTA for the month of June 2022. The latest update fixes several features – System, camera, Bluetooth, Fingerprint, and more. We mentioned the full changelog end of this article. 

Android 13 Beta 3 Released: Check New Features

Updates for iQOO 9/ iQOO 9 SE match the PD2136BF_EX_36.8.27 and PD2154CF_EX_3.7.2 builds and include Android security patches updated in May 2022. A new update is also coming for the iQOO 7, corresponding to build PD2055F_EX_6.70.43, which is expected to introduce software fixes, given the May patch.

The update will as always be distributed via OTA in batch, and it is possible that it will take a couple of days before we can notice on our displays the warning notification about its availability.

Notes 

  1. This update will not delete or modify your usage data
  2. System updates do not take up phone space or affect the running speed of the phone
  3. During the update process, the temperature of the phone will briefly rise a little, and will return to normal after the update is completed
