Galaxy Note 20/ Ultra gets June 2022 security update with camera improvements in the US

Samsung has begun to roll out a new One UI software update for Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra in the US. It brings the Android June 2022 security patch and improved camera performance, the Night Portrait feature, which means that you can capture higher-quality portrait images of people in low light conditions for the carrier unlocked and T-Mobile Galaxy Note 20 series models.

However, Verizon is also rolling out the Android June 2022 security patch for Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, which improves the privacy and security of the phone by fixing 66 known vulnerabilities.

The latest June 2022 update for the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra’s carrier-unlocked model comes with firmware version N981U1UEU2FVEB and N986U1UEU2FVEB. While the Verizon Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra can identify by firmware version N981USQU2FVEB and N986USQU2FVEB respectively.

And T-Mobile rolling out the latest update with firmware version N981USQU2FVEB and N986USQU2FVEB for Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra respectively.

When the update is available on your device, it will be notified through a notification. You will be able to download and install it via OTA (i.e., directly from the device).

The most impatient can still manually check its availability, go to the Settings menu, scroll to the section dedicated to software updates, and start the check.
