Samsung Galaxy Note 20 India users receiving June 2022 security update

Samsung has started rolling out a new update for the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra for Indian users, bringing new security patches and camera improvements. Verizon and T-Mobile recently rolled out the same update for the United States.

Samsung upgrades the security of the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra to June 2022 in this update that improves phone privacy and security by fixing 66 known vulnerabilities. According to the changelog, the device has no new features besides improvements, performance, and the latest security patches.

Samsung is gradually rolling out this update via OTA to the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra, which can be identified by firmware versions N981BXXS4FVEA and N986BXXS4FVEA, respectively.

When the update is available on your device, it will be notified through a notification. You will be able to download and install it via OTA (i.e., directly from the device). The most impatient can still manually check its availability, go to the Settings menu, scroll to the section dedicated to software updates, and start the check.
