Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 & Z Flip 3, new firmware activates eSIM and fixes several bugs in Canada

Samsung wants to expand the adoption of eSIM to foldable Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Fold 3 devices with the new Galaxy S22, which is available through the Carrier network in the United States.

The possibility to use a virtual SIM is only available through T-Mobile in the USA. The company is starting to roll out this feature to (lucky) owners of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 & Z Flip 3 in Canada within these hours via a firmware update.

This new firmware, marked with the F926WVLU1DVEE for Fold 3 and F711WVLU2DVEE for Flip 3 build, and adding the SIM card manager to the Settings menu, which allows you to use an eSIM, also update the camera app. There is no shortage of usual bug fixes, as well as an overall improvement in device performance and implementation of the latest June 2022 security updates.

When the update is available on your device, it will be notified through a notification. You will be able to download and install it via OTA (i.e., directly from the device). The most impatient can still manually check its availability, go to the Settings menu, scroll to the section dedicated to software updates, and start the check.
