Samsung Galaxy S21 FE receives June 2022 update with better stability and security in India

Samsung has rolled out the June security patch for trio Galaxy S21 smartphones except the Fan Edition. But according to the previous report, Galaxy S21 FE has received this update in Thailand and now it is India’s turn.

Samsung has started pushing the Android June 2022 security patch for the Galaxy S21 FE in India. Which fixes 66 device-related vulnerabilities, which include 5 marked as “critical”, 14 as “high”, and 2 as “moderate.” This update includes over 48 software-related patches provided by Google’s June OTA.

With this June 2022 security update, issues resolved range from SIM card data access to direct on-device camera access where remote attackers could gain control of your Galaxy device. Several other issues related to Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity have also been resolved.

Thanks to reddit users, the update available in India with build number G990EXXU2CVF1. And will soon expand for more regions. In addition also upgrades various stock apps to boost the overall device performance – Notes, Internet, Health, SamrtThings, Calculator, and Voice recorder.

When the update is available on your device, it will be notified through a notification. You will be able to download and install it via OTA (i.e., directly from the device). The most impatient can still manually check its availability, go to the Settings menu, scroll to the section dedicated to software updates, and start the check.
