Samsung has already rolled out the latest June 2022 security patch for Galaxy S20 FE and Galaxy A53 5G in India and Canada receptively. Now the update is landing in the US for both devices.

According to the SamMobile report the Galaxy S20 FE 5G (SM-G781U) comes with firmware version G781USQS7FVE2 carrier locked in the US and the Galaxy A53 5G carrier unlocked variant (Samsung) comes with A536U1UES2AVE4. It brings the June 2022 security patch that fixes dozens of privacy and security vulnerabilities.

In addition to the June security patches, it should bring general improvements to the stability and resolution of some of the bugs encountered by users with previous software versions (unfortunately, the official changelog does not provide much detail about it).

When the update is available on your device, it will be notified through a notification. You will be able to download and install it via OTA (i.e., directly from the device). The most impatient can still manually check its availability, go to the Settings menu, scroll to the section dedicated to software updates, and start the check.
