Important news is coming from a software point of view for Android because, through a brief statement posted on its official channel, Google announced the availability of Android 13 beta 4 for the Google Pixel 4, 4a, 4a, 5G, 5a, 5 and 6, also in XL and Pro versions, Google says, is the last beta before the stable release scheduled for the coming weeks.
This beta aims to refine Google’s operating system before the release of the first Android 13 building, scheduled for September. So let’s see the changelog together:
What’s New: Android 13 Beta 4
As mentioned earlier, this new release of Android 13 beta 4 brings a few improvements in performance and stability, nothing else. There are no novelties, neither graphic nor functional, of any kind. For the more curious, the changelog is as follows:
- Fixed an issue where on some devices, paired Bluetooth devices could be observed to connect and disconnect from the device rapidly.
- Fixed an issue where the Google Camera app occasionally crashed on Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro devices.
- Fixed an issue where, when a user checks for system updates by navigating to Settings > System > System update, the system incorrectly reported Android 12 as the device’s Android version, even when the device was already successfully updated to an Android 13 build.
- Fixed an issue on Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro devices where the Now Playing page sometimes got stuck on Downloading song database.
Additionally, the deployed build, which corresponds to version TPB4.220624.005, is coupled with the Android security patches updated to July 2022. It is not excluded that the update also includes additional news and fixes with respect to what is described above.
